The doctor explained the connection between the number of abs and exercise

Doctor Andrew Wells said the number of abs is determined genetically

American sports therapist and physiologist Andrew Wells explained the connection between the number of abs and exercise. His words are quoted by Live Science.

The doctor said that the number of abs is determined genetically. According to him, about 60 percent of the population are born with three tendon tendons, so they have six-pack abs if they work on them. At the same time, 20 percent may have eight cubes, and less often – four or less.

Thus, the number of abs is not an indicator of the strength and health of the body. Wells stressed the importance of eating right and exercising to get into better shape.

Earlier, fitness expert Anna Polyakova revealed a way to pump up abs for the lazy. The specialist advised doing crunches for 20 repetitions in three sets. She also suggested a more complicated option – lifting the body with small twists.
