25 years ago, the series “Rebel Angel” became a hit all over the world. The role of Bernardo Avelleira was played by Osvaldo Guidi. October marked 12 years since the actor’s death.

The soap opera “Rebel Angel” was produced in 1998-1999. The main roles were played by Natalia Oreiro and Facundo Arana. It first appeared on Polsat in May 2000. Later it was broadcast on TV4, TV Puls and Puls 2. The butler Bernardo Avelleira was played by Osvaldo Guidi. He was 34 years old then.

The role of Bernardo Avelleira brought Osvaldo popularity. In addition, he also starred in other Argentine productions, such as “Dos vidas y un destino”, “Celeste” and “Antonella”. In 1992, he received the APTRA Martin Fierro Award for Best Supporting Role. He also started working as a playwright and theater director. At first glance, his career seemed to be on the rise. Guidi thought that participating in “Rebel Angel” would bring him more career offers, but this did not happen.

On October 17, 2011, Osvaldo Guidi took his own life. It took place at his drama school in Buenos Aires. He was 47 years old. He felt forgotten and depressed by the fact that he was not successful in acting.

I know what success, rewards, the dark side of rewards are. I’m the only one who can do anything for myself.
