Trusova said that Tutberidze complimented her hair after returning
Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova in the Okko podcast revealed the first phrase she heard from coach Eteri Tutberidze after returning from two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko.
The athlete said that the coach complimented her hairstyle. “Red suits you very well.” That’s when I changed my color,” Trusova explained. She emphasized that there were no serious conversations between them, and she returned to work. Trusova said that she felt a little different, but more familiar.
In October 2022, Trusova announced her departure from the Tutberidze group. It was clarified that the 18-year-old figure skater was no longer satisfied with the difficult training regimen in a specialist group, because of which, according to the athlete, her injuries were worsening. Currently Trusova is studying with Svetlana Sokolovskaya.
At the 2022 Olympic Games, Trusova, who returned from Evgeni Plushenko’s academy to Tutberidze’s group, performed five quadruple jumps in the free program and took second place. She lost to another Russian and student of Tutberidze, Anna Shcherbakova.
