On Monday evening, in a statement, the Electoral Court of Barcelona SC did not accept the candidacies for club president of candidates Rafael Verduga and Carlos Alfaro Moreno.
The businessman together with his partner Matías Oyola and the current chairman duo with Antonio Alvarez submitted their lists last week for the process that will take place on November 1 at the Banco Pichincha Stadium.
The decision of the electoral body, according to the press release, is based on Article 151 of the Law on Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, which refers to the periods for which officials are elected.

Article 151 of the Law on Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (2010), in the name and up to four years according to their statutes and they can opt for immediate re-election only once. For a new application for the same position, at least one period must pass and under no circumstances will they be able to hold any management position in the organization without the passage of at least one period after the termination of their position.
In the press release, it is stated that a consultation was held with the mentioned ministry where its position was confirmed.
Because of this, the Court decided to “reject” the candidacies of Verduga and Alfaro Moreno, who will have two days to file an appeal. (D)
