The Russian U17 football team will play against Uzbekistan, Senegal and Panama
The Russian football team among players under 17 years old received three new opponents in October. This was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The Russians’ opponents will be the teams of Uzbekistan (October 22), Senegal (October 25) and Panama (October 28). The matches will be held as part of a training camp in Antalya, Turkey.
Uzbekistan, Senegal and Panama will take part in the World Championships in Indonesia in November. A total of 24 teams will take part in the final tournament.
On September 26, the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) proposed allowing Russian youths to participate in tournaments in a neutral status. After this, some countries, including Ukraine and England, announced their intention to boycott matches with Russian teams. After this, UEFA announced the cancellation of its decision.
