Doctor Koloda: Excessive exercise increases the risk of obstetric complications
Fertility specialist Yulia Koloda spoke about the dangers of excessive exercise for women. Her words are quoted by Gazeta.Ru.
The specialist said that excessive stress on the body increases the risk of obstetric complications. According to her, not only obese patients are at risk, but also those who are underweight.
“Their risk of obstetric complications during pregnancy will be the same as with obesity. They include preeclampsia, anemia, weak labor, miscarriage, premature rupture of amniotic fluid, and the birth of a low birth weight baby,” the doctor said.
Earlier, fitness trainer Maria Volynkina spoke about the health hazards that arise when doing the plank. According to her, due to incorrect technique and arching in the lower back, the stomach and neck relax, which leads to back pain and, over time, injuries.
