Two employees of the Krivbass women’s football club refused to return to Ukraine after the Champions League match. Journalist Sergei Bolotnikov reported this to the KDK YouTube channel.

According to the source, SMM manager Roman Lopatin and photographer Roman Medvedev did not return from the trip. It is noted that “Krivbass” played matches in the Women’s Champions League against the French “Paris” and the Swedish “Linköping”. After the incident, the club contacted the police, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and the border service.

On October 13, it became known that Ukrainian football player Alexander Rasputko disappeared at the airport after a UEFA Youth League match in Belgium on October 4. It was also reported that the athlete asked for political asylum in Russia. The footballer’s pro-Russian position was cited as one of the reasons for his escape.

On September 8, it became known that Ukrainian sports federations would be punished if they showed solidarity with the Russians. The representative of the country’s government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk, indicated that federations will begin to be deprived of their national status if athletes, coaches and other members of the federations commit actions that undermine the authority of Ukraine by showing solidarity with representatives of Russia.
