Polish jumpers are not doing well in the current season in. The results should definitely be better. In the Sunday competition in Wisła-Malinka, only three of the eleven white-and-reds were able to advance to the second round and score points – (11th place), (25th) and Aleksander Zniszczoł (26th).

But the Polish Ski Association did not care too much about keeping these competitors. “We have young people, they will protect us” – I heard. “Oho! It won’t happen soon!” – I thought – said Długopolski.

And he added: – To give up such players as Ziobro? It’s not easy to find people like him! After all, Jasiu could win World Cup competitions, take a place on the podium! We can wait many years for the next one. But PZN thinks that it is easy to replace Ziobro and others.

– You should guess what the policy of the PZN authorities is. I have been in Polish skiing for almost 60 years. I have experienced various CEOs, secretaries and coaches of the national team. And I know what has been going on in PZN since the times of Adam Maysz. Everything is aimed at the Silesian-Beskid Ski Association. I am not afraid to say it – this district is the apple of the apple of PZN’s eye – continued Długopolski.

Thanks to a nice Saturday team, in which the jumpers took fourth place, Poland is sixth in the Nations Cup classification. The Biało-Czerwoni scored only 418 points, almost three times less than the leading Germans (1210 points).

The next World Cup competition will be held in Klingenthal, Germany (11 and 12 December), where two individual competitions are planned. Only four Polish players went to Germany: Kamil Stoch, Piotr Żyła, and Paweł Wąsek. The rest are training in Ramsau.
