Kuzyaev said that the level of the RPL is not much behind the French championship
Le Havre midfielder Daler Kuzyaev compared the level of the Russian and French championships. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
Kuzyaev said that the Russian Premier League (RPL) is slightly behind League 1, but is not progressing. “The level of the Russian championship is optimal compared to France. We also have a good championship. At Le Havre the training is more intense than at Zenit. But each coach has his own requirements,” he shared.
30-year-old Kuzyaev moved to Le Havre on July 12. The agreement with the Russian is for two years. At the moment, he has played eight matches in the French championship, in which he scored two goals.
In the 2022/2023 season, Kuzyaev played for Zenit St. Petersburg; his contract with the club expired at the end of June. The midfielder has played for the blue-white-blue team since 2017. Together with the team, he became the champion of Russia five times, took the country’s Cup and won the Super Cup twice.
