The currently ongoing 14th edition of “The Voice of Poland” can be considered groundbreaking because it introduced many changes to the principles of operation of the program. The production of the talent show before September announced a different blind audition formula, as well as changes in the rules for eliminating participants.
Battles in “The Voice” for the first time in a changed formula
In the last episode, viewers could see the battles in a new version for the first time. The first to go was the Lanberry team, which, as a coach, found itself in the very center of the battles, sitting on an additional coach’s chair in the middle of the stage.
Moreover, so far in “The Voice of Poland” two participants have competed with each other during battles. Later, the coach decided who would go to the next stage, and members of different teams competed on the stage.
Now participants from the Lanberry group competed among themselves. They were divided into five groups of three people. However, only ten of them appeared on stage because the remaining five had already been eliminated during the rehearsals.
The new rules state that the coach is to select five participants from five who will sing during the knockout broadcast right after the battles. Of this group, only four will appear in live episodes, which will start broadcasting on November 4, 2023. In the first battles, the Lanberry team advanced to the next stage: Daniel Borzewski, Janek Górka, Damazy Wachuła and Martyna Lasiecka.
Most viewers are not satisfied with the new formula of the talent show
Fans of the program decided to give vent to their emotions during the premiere broadcast and began to comment on the changes introduced. Most of them rate it much worse, arguing that the program has become very predictable:
A great failure of this formula, I have no intention of watching any more battles, it’s a waste of time, the viewership will surely drop
These new rules are crap. No steal option, knockouts were in separate episodes. It’s hard to watch
The government television even screwed up “The Voice of Poland”… Shocking
Very artificial and emotionless. Overall, I’m not convinced by this version
