American mixed style fighter (MMA) Jorge Masvidal has got a new rival – he will fight with Briton Leon Edwards. Reported by MMA Junkie.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star will return to the Octagon on December 11th. The fight will take place as part of the UFC 269 event. In the main event, Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier will compete for the UFC lightweight title.
Masvidal will perform for the first time since April 2021. Then he was defeated in a fight for the welterweight champion belt against Kamaru Usman. The American is the holder of the special title of “UFC Chief Rascal.”
Masvidal won the special belt in November 2019. Then he finished the fight against Nate Diaz ahead of schedule. At the moment, this is the last victory for Masvidal. The fight with Diaz was followed by defeats in two title fights against Usman. The American agreed to hold the first fight against the champion six days before the event itself.
