Claudinho scores for Zenit, Chelsea concedes a draw at the end and ranks second

This Wednesday, Zenit and Chelsea faced each other for the last round of the Champions League group stage. In St. Petersburg, the match ended in a draw 3-3. Claudinho, Sardar Azmoun and Magomed Ozdoev scored for the Russians, while Timo Wener (twice) and Romelu Lukaku.

With the result, the Blues are in second place in the group, with 13 points. Zenit is in third, with four.

Chelsea returns to the field next Saturday, against Leeds United, for the Premier League. The match will be at Stamford Bridge, at 12 pm (GMT).

The game – In the first half, the visitors opened the scoring after just two minutes. After a corner kick, the ball deflected on the first post and Timo Werner completed it to the back of the net.

However, Zenit turned even before the break. At 38, Claudinho received a cross and tied the match. At 41, it was Sardar Azmoun’s turn to puff up the net after receiving a deep pass from Malcolm. The goal was confirmed after the VAR reviewed and found that there was no impediment to the play.

In the second stage, the English evened the score in the 17th minute. Timo Werner took off towards the goal and passed to Romelu Lukaku to just push into the back of the net.

At 41, came the turn, and once again with Timo Werner. The German dominated the pass inside the area and hit placed inside the goal.

However, in stoppage time, Magomed Ozdoev received a cross at the entrance to the area and sent the first to tie the match again.

Juventus wins Malmo and ranks first

At the same time, Juventus faced Malmo and won 1-0. Moise Kean scored the winning goal for Massimiliano Allegri’s team 18 minutes into the first half.

With Chelsea’s triumph and draw, the Italians ranked first, with 15 points. The Swedes were last, with just one.
