Firefighters attend an emergency on the afternoon of this Wednesday 7.
This afternoon an outbreak of fire was reported in the building of the National Financial Corporation (CFN), located on 9 de Octubre avenue between Pedro Carbo and Pichincha streets, downtown Guayaquil.
Several units of the Guayaquil Fire Department mobilized to the scene to attend to the emergency, which began around 2:00 p.m.
With a ladder vehicle, fire crews worked to put out the fire that originated on the eighth floor of the building, specifically in the administrative offices of the Superintendency of Companies.
Workers and users who were in the building were evacuated in a preventive manner.
The Superintendency of Companies detailed that the institutional computer system registers some intermittences due to the emergency. “We hope to restore our online services soon,” he said. (I)
