American fighter Strickland broke his UFC championship belt and repaired it with tape
American mixed-style fighter (MMA) Sean Strickland broke the championship belt of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He spoke about this on Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned).
“Guys, I really broke my belt. But I have a solution!” — the athlete shared. In the video, Strickland showed that one of the parts of the trophy, which he had attached with tape, had come off. According to the fighter, the belt was “like new.”
On September 10, in the main event of UFC 293, Strickland won a unanimous decision over New Zealander Israel Adesanya. He won the UFC middleweight title.
In the second most important match of the tournament, Russian Alexander Volkov turned out to be stronger than Australian Tai Tuivasa. He defeated his opponent in the second round by submission.
