Racing honors fans who disappeared during the Argentine dictatorship

O Racing Club this Tuesday, paid tribute to the 45 fans of the club who disappeared and murdered during the last Argentine dictatorship (1976-1983). The club gave them membership status.

This initiative is the result of a project that the team launched on March 19, based on a presentation by five partners, including journalist and writer Carlos Ulanovsky and actor Osvaldo Santoro.

The investigation was carried out this year in Racing’s historical archive, where registration forms were found that allowed the discovery of numerous cases of people “who were kidnapped, disappeared and murdered during the dictatorship”, the team said.

The new membership credentials will be given to the relatives of the disappeared.

“Racing was also a victim of the genocide that hit Argentina since the mid-seventies (1970) from the moment we know that it has partners – that is, legal and legitimate members of the institution – who were affected by the systematic extermination plan implemented. throughout the national territory”, indicates the document presented by the five partners.

In addition to Racing, Boca Juniors e River Plate they have also paid tribute to fans who were victims of the Argentine dictatorship, which left 30,000 people missing, according to humanitarian organizations.
