It became known that the former defender of the Spanish national football team Sergio Ramos will return to Sevilla after 18 years. It is reported by insider Fabrizio Romano in the social network X (former name for Twitter – approx. “Tapes.ru”).

According to Romano, the 37-year-old has already agreed a short-term contract with the team. It is noted that he did not accept the proposal of the Saudi Al-Ittihad.

On November 17, 2022, Ramos was named the best defender in football history by the Globe Soccer Awards. In 2020, France Football magazine also recognized the Spaniard as the most outstanding player in this position.

Ramos played for Sevilla from 2002 to 2005. He is also known for playing for Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. Together with the national team, the defender became the world champion and won the European championship twice. He also holds the record for the most appearances for the Spanish national team.
