The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (midagri) reported that through the group of subsidies that delivered between 2022 and 2023 benefited 681,354 male and female producers from the 24 departments of the country.
In detail, the portfolio announced that in the first stage of the Fertiabono 1, 313,820 producers were served, reaching 97% of what was planned. In addition, 168,002 beneficiaries received the Fertiabono 2, which represents 98% compliance, which includes farmers from the 24 departments, distributed in 190 provinces and 1,254 districts throughout the country. In parallel, with the bonus Get well now (drought bonus), received a total of 199,532 producers, reaching a level of execution of 97%.
The regions that led in the collection of Fertiabono 2, whose payment process ended on August 31 at the national level, were Cajamarca, San MartÃn, Amazonas and Tumbes. They exceeded 99% compliance.
The amount granted through this subsidy varied according to the extension of the cultivated land: S/235 per half hectare, S/470 per hectare and with a maximum of S/2,350.
The beneficiaries of Fertiabono 2 had to meet several criteria, including the administration of agricultural units of up to five hectares and the use of chemical fertilizers. In addition, they must be registered in the Register of Agricultural Producers (PPA) until November 16, 2022. They were also required to cultivate the priority products identified by Midagri.
