Striker Rwan Cruz was announced as a new signing for Ludogorets, from Bulgaria, this Saturday. The player was loaned by Santos for one season, with option to purchase. Before, he was at Vasco.
Rwan spoke about his arrival at the new club and celebrated the opportunity. “I am very happy with the opportunity to play for Ludogorets. They are a super champion team, they have won 12 championships in a row and I couldn’t be happier with the possibility of defending the colors of a team used to great achievements”, he said.
The 22-year-old stood out for Santos runner-up in Copinha in 2022, competing for the competition’s playmaker award that year. He scored six goals and two assists in the youth tournament.
Before arriving at Peixe, Rwan belonged to Flamengo de Guarulhos, but his good performances made the alvinegro club acquire him permanently. In total, the striker scored five goals in 37 matches for Santos’ professional team.
With little space, he was loaned to Vasco, but ended up playing only two games. Now, he sees himself more experienced and with more baggage to live his first experience in European football.
“I’m arriving in European football with a good background, a little more experienced, despite being only 22 years old. I arrive hungry to seek my space and help my teammates in the best way possible.
