The Russian woman noted that in the absence of starts outside the country, she began to perform worse. “It is important not only to simply participate in competitions, but also that they be with a change of scenery, that they be different, in different places, of different ranks, because there should still be a sense of responsibility,” said Batsarashkina.
The Russian woman won two gold medals at the 2020 Tokyo Games in individual disciplines and became the silver medalist of the mixed doubles tournament.
On June 27, Yuri Borodavko, head coach of the Russian cross-country skiing team, found a plus in the absence of international starts in the national team. According to the specialist, in the conditions of international isolation in the country, interest in skiing has increased.
