About 95 players will meet at the Araba World Tennis Tour tournament

Vitoria-Gasteiz will host the fourth edition of the international tournament Araba World Tennis Tour Women-Open Grupo Amutio from July 16 to 23, with the participation of the woman from Vitoria Nadine Arbaizar. In this edition, a qualitative leap is made by becoming an ITF $100,000, which represents a higher rank that places the event as the best in Euskadi.

About 95 players will meet in the capital of Álava. Among the prominent names, the French Oceane Dodinnumber 1 seed in the tournament, 112 in the WTA ranking that became 46 in 2017. Another renowned player is the Bulgarian Sesil Karatantchevwhich became the 35th in the world, the Serbian Alexandra Kruniccurrent number 211 that peaked at number 35, the English Heather Watson current 149 which in 2015 was the 38th or the Bulgarian Jaqueline Adina which in January 2022 came to be ranked 58th.

Other activities

In addition to the merely competitive, the event will have numerous parallel activities such as Tennis Street that will be held on July 14 in the Plaza de la Provincia and that will put the finishing touch to the nearly 20 sessions that have been held in educational centers in Vitoria, a clinic at the Fundación Estadio on Saturday the 15th, in addition to the wheelchair tennis exhibition on the 23rd, before the individual final.
