Osasuna received notification on July 4 that UEFA was leaving it out of the continental competition, and the Pamplona club made its intention to go to the TAS official, something that it can do until July 25, Tuesday. The objective of the entity is to be in the draw on August 7.

Osasuna went out to the main field of Tajonar around 10:00 am, after having enjoyed the start of the Sanfermines, in which the club launched the chupinazo. It has been the first day for Jose Arnaiz and Alejandro Catena with his new companions; the winger and the center back, the two signings to date, and the rest of the team have completed a first light training session, in which both Nacho Vidal and David GarcĂ­a have exercised for their part. Adama Boiro has been the only Promesas footballer to place himself under Arrasate’s orders.

Osasuna has a tough week ahead, with two days, Tuesday and Thursday, in which the work will be double, while on Wednesday and Friday the team will carry out a single session. The first week of work will end with the dispute of the first friendly, against Osasuna Promesas, on Saturday, July 15, at 10:00 am, in Tajonar. Sunday will be the only day off.

Jagoba Arrasate: “I think that in the end they will prove us right”

In parallel, the Osasuna coach, Jagoba Arrasate, has been positive regarding the participation in the European competitionand, in this sense, he has indicated that he believes that “in the end they will agree” with the club, to be able to play the Conference League.

The rojillo coach has said he feels “anger and frustration”, seeing how they have earned the right “to play in this competition”, with the players on the “field” and the fans “in the stands”: “We don’t understand it “But at the same time we are fighting. We have that illusion. The club is working, and each one has their role. Hopefully, each one with their work, we can play in Europe, which is what we deserve”, he said, after the first training session of the preseason.

“I know that the club is working day and night. We are focused on the green, on improving. We started a super competitive league, we have a month left and our job is to focus on this, knowing that the club is moving to do justice”, stressed Arrasate.
