This Monday (10), Rafael Navarro was official as reinforcement of Colorado Rapids, Major League Soccer team (MLS, in the United States). The striker was loaned by Palm trees through valid loan until June 30, 2024, with option to purchase.
“We are excited to add a striker of Rafael’s quality to our squad as we continue to pick up the pace to get back into the rankings,” said club chairman Pádraig Smith.
“Rafael is a talented and persistent player, who will bring a threat of goals and experience at the highest levels in South America to our club. We believe he can immediately improve our attack”, added the agent.

The loan was closed for one season – the MLS team has the option, at the end of the agreement, to buy 80% of the striker’s rights for 5 million dollars (about R$ 24.33 million, at current quotations).
Navarro arrived at Alviverde in 2022, after a great season for Botafogoalready Serie B, free. With the great competition in Abel Ferreira’s squad, the striker was unable to establish himself in the first team – since arriving, he played 65 times for Palmeiras and scored 11 goals.
