Four years ago, defender Éder Militão was officially presented as a new reinforcement of the Real Madrid. On that date, in 2019, the athlete stepped onto the lawn of the Santiago Bernabéu and participated in his first press conference as a merengue athlete.

The 25-year-old defender was bought by the Spanish club from Porto for 50 million euros (R$ 215 million at the time). For being the forming club and having kept 10% of the economic rights, the São Paulo received around R$ 25 million with the negotiation.

Militão was coach Zinedine Zidane’s first reinforcement in his new spell at Real Madrid. That year, in addition to the defender, they also arrived: the attacking midfielder Reinier, coming from Flamengoand the attacker Rodrygo, ex-Santos.

Since making his debut for Madrid, Militão has played 145 games with the merengue shirt, scoring 12 goals. With the defender on the field, the Spanish club did not concede goals in 43 opportunities, resulting in almost 30% of matches without taking balls in the net.

Since 2019, Éder Militão has won eight titles with Real Madrid: LaLiga twice (2019/20 and 2021/22), Spanish Cup once (2022/23), Spanish Super Cup twice (2019/20 and 2021/22), the Champions League once (2021/22), the UEFA Super Cup once (2022/23) and the Club World Cup once (2023).

Formed in the youth teams of São Paulo, Militão did not play much for the São Paulo club: there were 54 games and four goals. Tricolor sold its player to Porto in 2018 for seven million euros (BRL 30.6 million at the time), however, only four million euros (R$ 17.7 million at the time) were allocated to the Morumbi club, while the rest went to the athlete himself and his staff. .
