Brazil’s opponent, France’s Amandine Henry, out of the Women’s World Cup due to injury

The French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Friday that midfielder Amandine Henry is out of the squad. Women’s World Cup due to a thigh injury. The tournament takes place in Australia and New Zealand from the 20th of July.

Henry, 33 years old and who has already made 93 appearances for the national team, is one of the highlights of the squad summoned by coach Hervé Renard. The midfielder even scored the goal that eliminated the Brazilian Team in the Round of 16 of the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

Having not played since February due to a knee injury, she was back in the French squad after a two-year absence, having been left out of the squad by former Les Bleues coach Corinne Diacre, who was sacked in March.
