The CSKA basketball club commented on the apology of the former Swede defender Jonas Jerebko for his performances in the team. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“My personal opinion is that someone put a lot of pressure on him to do it. Because Yunas was leaving us very pleased with the situation in the country, and in Moscow, and in the club, ”suggested Natalia Furaeva, vice-president of the club.
Earlier, Yerebko apologized to the Swedes for playing in CSKA. “I made the wrong choice, I only thought about basketball and it was wrong. I didn’t play for a year and a half, I just wanted to play. Looking back, I would never have done this, ”said the athlete.
Yerebko played 16 matches for CSKA in the 2021/2022 season. For this, the Swedish Basketball Federation suspended him from playing in the national team. Before that, the forward played in the VTB United League for Khimki for two years.
