Khamzat Chimaev said he respects Ramzan Kadyrov
Swedish mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Khamzat Chimaev spoke about his attitude towards the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. It is reported by Expressen.
“He is the head of my republic. I have the greatest respect for Ramzan Kadyrov. He invites me to have dinner with him, and I come. I like it,” said Chimaev. He added that he would accept dinner invitations from both the King of Sweden and the President of the United States.
On June 19, Chimaev put forward demands for the leadership of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The athlete demanded to assign him two fights in 2023. One of them should take place in Paris, and the next – in Abu Dhabi.
Chimaev in his professional career had 12 fights without suffering a single defeat. In the last fight on September 10, 2022, the athlete defeated the American Kevin Holland by choke hold. The fighter was born in Chechnya, but at the age of 16 he moved to Sweden.
