The technical staff of the Senegalese Football Federation (SFF), headed by the president, may discuss a possible friendly match between the African national team and the Russian team. This was reported to Sport24 in the press service of the organization.
“Now the Russian Federation and African countries have good relations, so there is a high probability that the Russian team can play not only with the Senegal national team, but also with other African teams,” the SFF said. They also expressed readiness to consider the possibility of organizing a meeting in September.
On June 11, it became known that the Russian national football team will play a friendly match against the national team of Qatar. The meeting should take place in September, the Russians will play on the road.
On May 30, the Russian Football Union (RFU) announced that international matches involving the national team would not take place in the summer. “The schedule of potential rivals of the national team does not allow the game to be played on convenient dates in June, so it was decided to cancel the June training camp and not violate the clubs’ preparation program for the 2023/2024 season,” the organization said.
