The galaxy of the biggest stars and the young actors accompanying them each time attracted crowds of curious viewers in front of the screens. However, before the series permanently went on air, the creators had a serious dilemma.
The telenovela did not win the competition. The producers faced a serious decision
The dilemma was caused by a competition announced by Telewizja Polska to select a new telenovela. “Klan” and “Zaklęta” also competed for a place in the schedule. When on June 23, 1997, the first pilot episode was broadcast on TVP1, the viewers were very impressed and quickly began to like the main characters. Ultimately, the production took second place in the plebiscite, which, according to the initial assumptions, was to be tantamount to abandoning this project. However, due to the high viewership of the pilot episode, the producers decided to continue the telenovela, adding it to the television program of Two. The regular broadcast of “Złotopolskie” began a few months later, on December 26, 1997, and lasted continuously until December 25, 2010.

Thanks to the production, not only the actors gained great popularity, but also the places where the photos were shot. Although most of them took place in the studio, other locations were also visited. The viewers were most impressed by the manor house belonging to the Złotopolski family in the series. As it turns out, the building was not just an element of the scenery, but it really exists and is located 30 km from the capital, near Złotopolice, in the village of Many. Probably its construction was completed in 1928. The current owner of the iconic property is known from “Teleexpress”.
The manor house underwent a thorough metamorphosis a few years ago. It has been restored while preserving its historic character. The rooms were adapted for 30 hotel rooms and a large banquet hall. Various special events are held in its interiors, e.g. conferences, integration trips, but also weddings. It turns out that this is where the wedding of Marcin Mroczek, an actor known from the series “M jak miłość”, took place in 2013.
