Chelsea dominates the game, but does not come out of the draw against Manchester United

Chelsea drew with Manchester United this Sunday (28), by 1-1, for the English Championship.

The match began with Chelsea’s dominance, which after just three minutes forced De Gea to make a great save, when Hudson-Odoi came face to face with the Spaniard. Manchester United reinforced the marking in midfield, but still had difficulties blocking and attacking the hosts. The team led by interim Carrick missed Cristiano Ronaldo who, surprisingly, started on the bench.

The Blues were in charge of the game, with more than 70% of the ball in the opening 10 minutes. At 30, defender RĂ¼diger took a risk from outside the area, but the ball exploded on the crossbar. The Red Devils could barely get close to the opposing area.

The second stage was designed for a new pressure of the Blues, however, at four, Jorginho failed, missing a domain, and provided a deadly counterattack for Englishman Jadon Sancho, who opened the scoring just taking the goalkeeper Mendy.

With the partial defeat, Chelsea launched themselves into the attack and had a good chance to draw with the German Timo Werner, who submitted it outwards after a corner kick. The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo joined at 19, replacing Sancho. Two minutes later, Wan-Bissaka arrived late and kicked Thiago Silva in the foot. The referee awarded a penalty and Jorginho equalized for the Londoners.

Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku came in at 37, but played very little in the game. At 42, Mendy went wrong and gave the ball as a gift to Fred, who kicked weakly and retreated to the Senegalese.

In the last move, with six extras, RĂ¼diger received a cross and, single-handedly, finished off, scraping the crossbar. Despite the pressure at the end, the home team failed to score the tiebreaker.
