The English midfielder Jude Bellingham was officially presented as a new reinforcement of the Real Madrid last Thursday. The player left Borussia Dortmund to sign with the Spanish team and said in a recent interview that Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti was a key player in his transfer.

“His (Ancelotti’s) words about me were very special and influenced me when it came to making a decision. I really want to have him as a coach and give him everything I have”, said Bellingham to the Real Madrid TV.

“(Ancelotti) is a special coach. His achievements and the trophies he has won speak for themselves. Any coach and any player would tell you how incredible he is,” added the athlete.

The young England midfielder has also stated, after signing for Real Madrid, that he has never been so proud in his life. “Being at this club, with all the players who have played here, with the 14 Champions League. It’s an unforgettable moment. I’m happy to be here.”

Bellingham even pointed out that his best quality on the field is “doing a little bit of everything”. “It’s my best virtue and it allows me to play in many positions in midfield. I like to dribble and also to win duels”.

Finally, the midfielder declared that he wants to be a “sponge” and learn as much as possible from his new teammates at Real Madrid. “It’s an honor to play with these players, learn from them and maybe win from them. It’s great when you can absorb so much from your teammates, on and off the pitch.”
