Werder Bremen announced the signing of midfielder Naby Keita on Friday. The player arrived at the German club free of charge after the end of his contract with Liverpoola club he defended for the last five seasons.

The 28-year-old midfielder emerged in football in Guinea and briefly passed through France, at FC Istres, before landing at RB Salzburg, in Austria. From there, he moved to his partner club, Leipzig, from Germany, where he stood out and caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp.
He was acquired by Liverpool in 2018, but never managed to establish himself as a starter. At the Reds, Keita won every possible English title (English ChampionshipFA Cup, FA Super Cup and English League Cup), in addition to earning the Champions Leagueo Club World Cup and the European Super Cup.
