Moscow “Locomotive” snatched a victory from the Voronezh “Fakel” in the match of the 28th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held in Moscow at the RZD Arena and ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The only goal in the 87th minute was scored by midfielder Anton Miranchuk.
Lokomotiv played without striker Artem Dzyuba. He missed the second match in a row for the team. In the last round, the “railroad” tied with the Samara “Wings of the Soviets” – 1:1.
As a result, after 28 matches, Lokomotiv is in eighth place in the RPL standings, with 39 points. Fakel is in 12th place with 27 points. St. Petersburg “Zenith” became the champion ahead of schedule with 65 points.
In the next round, Lokomotiv will play Dynamo Moscow on the road, while Fakel will host Wings of the Soviets. Both meetings will be held on May 28.
