O Arsenal announced this Thursday that goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale’s contract has been renewed until 2028. The previous bond was valid until the end of the 2024-25 season, with an option to extend for another season. The values of the new agreement were not disclosed.
Ramsdale joined Arsenal in August 2021 from Sheffield United for €28 million (R$149.6 million). Since then, the Gunners have played 76 games and 28 of them without conceding goals.

Coach Mikel Arteta celebrated the new agreement with the 25-year-old goalkeeper and valued Ramsdale’s evolution in the two seasons with the club.
“We are very happy that Aaron has renewed. He has grown a lot in these two years. His performances, contributions and adaptation to the club have been excellent. It is great that Arsenal continue to invest in young talent,” he commented.
Arsenal’s sporting director, the Brazilian Edu Gaspar, also celebrated the success.
“We’ve enjoyed so many positive moments from Aaron’s performances these two years with us and we’re looking forward to a lot more. We have to remember that Aaron is very young so he still has a lot to come as we continue to build our young base,” he said.
