Kacper Tekieli is dead. The death of the Polish climber and husband of Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekiela was reported by the dts24.pl portal. He was 38 years old.

He was the first to inform about the death of Kacper Tekieli. The climber died in the Alps. The information was confirmed by the director of the Foundation for the Support of Polish Mountaineering, Jerzy Natkański. Last weekend, the climber reached the following peaks: Allalinhorn (4027 m), Strayhorn (4190 m) and Rimpfishhorn (4199 m). The last post on the Instagram profile was published on May 16. It shows a photo of a backpack against the background of a window and a large snowdrift.

Kacper Tekieli was a titled Polish climber and sport climbing instructor. He became fascinated with mountains during his philosophical studies. He started in the Bieszczady Mountains and spent several months in Alaska. Eventually, he took up mountaineering professionally. In the Tatras, he managed to walk about 300 climbing routes. He often traveled alone. climbed routes in the Alps, Colorado and Alaska. In 2020, he broke his own record, reaching all the peaks of the Great Crown of the Tatra Mountains in 37 hours and 28 minutes.

Justyna Kowalczyk and Kacper Tekieli got married in 2020, and a year later their son Hugo was born. The Olympic and world champion together with her son accompanied her husband in the Swiss Alps. Tekieli wanted to climb all 82 four-thousanders.
