The twelfth stage of the Giro d’Italia 2023 the May 18Thursday, on a tour of 179 kilometersbetween the towns of bra and rivoli. It is a day that can be marked by the ascent to the Colle Braidaa 2nd category scoring port for the Grand Prix of the Mountain that presents several hard ramps and is located about 30 kilometers from the finish line. It will also be important to find out what the strategy is followed by the teams of the main candidates to win the Giro, since the next day’s high-mountain stage is marked in red on the participants’ agenda.

Thus, the layout of this twelfth stage of the Giro has, in the opinion of the organization of the race, three different parts: the first, which covers the first 50 kilometers, is rough; the next 75 kilometers are flat, with the first pass through Rivoli; and the final 54 kilometers, with the climb to Colle Braida, will take place on a circuit that will take cyclists to the finish line.

The peloton will ascend, at kilometer 36, the top of Pedaggera, 3rd category, but on this day the other mountainous difficulty that the route includes, Colle Braida, stands out. They will be 9.8 kilometers of effort, with an average gradient of around 7% and sections that reach up to 12%.
