Demi Vollering will return to Itzulia Women to defend her victory from the last edition

This Wednesday the official presentation of the Itzulia Women 2023 in the San Sebastián City Hall, an act in which, among other authorities, they have taken part, Eneko Goiamayor of the city; Gorka Iturriagadirector of Physical Activity and Sport of the Basque Government; Joseba UrkiolaEITB Media Sports Director; Mari Jose TelleriaProvincial Deputy for Culture, Cooperation, Youth and Sports and Julian Erasogeneral director of Euskadi Cycling Organizations (OCETA), the organizing company of the event.
The second edition of the test will be held from May 12 to 14 between Etxebarria and the Gipuzkoan capital with a total of three stages and 370.2 kilometres:
STAGES OF THE ITZULIA WOMEN 2023:
Stage 1 (May 12): Etxebarria – Markina-Xemein (122.2 km)
Stage 2 (May 13): Vitoria-Gasteiz – Amurrio (133.2 km)
Stage 3 (May 14): San Sebastián–San Sebastián (114.8 km)
The peloton that starts on May 12 from EIKA-Etxebarria will be made up of 21 teams and a total of 126 cyclists. Among the participants, it is expected that runners of the stature of the current winner of the Itzulia Women Demi Vollering (Team SD Word), Pauliena Rooijakkers (Canyon//Sram Racing), Martha Cavalli (FDJ-Suez), Annemiek van Vleuten and Liane Lippert (Movistar Team Women), Niamh Fisher-Black (Team SD Word), Iurani Blanco Calbet (Labor Kutxa – Euskadi Foundation) and Sandra Alonso (Ceratizit – WNT Pro Cycling Team) among others.
The Basque representation will be made up of four runners: Eukene Larrarte (Bizkaia-Durango), Eneritz Vadillo and Usoa Ostoloza (Labor Kutxa – Euskadi Foundation) and Muskilda Oloriz (Sopela Women’s Team).

The three days of which the race will consist can be followed live by ETB1 and eitb.eus. The broadcast of the first two stages will begin at 12:00 and will end at 2:00 p.m.while on the last day the outcome of the test will take place in the afternoon, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition to issuing the stages, EITB will sponsor the yellow jersey that the race leader will wear.
