On this Sunday morning, International and Lazio faced each other for the 32nd round of the Italian Championship, at Giuseppe Meazza, in Milan (ITA). With two goals from Lautaro Martínez and a Gosens, the home team won by 3-1. Felipe Anderson opened the scoring for the visitors.
Thus, Inter Milan wins again in the championship after a negative sequence and, in this way, resumes fourth place – the classification zone for the Champions League -, surpassing rivals Milan and Roma. The team has 57 points in the Italian, as well as the aforementioned opponents.
In turn, Lazio had a stumble by Napoli, also this Sunday, to continue with chances, even if minimal, of winning the Italian Championship title. The team from the capital remains with 61 points and is 18 behind the leaders, with six rounds to go – that is, exactly 18 goals in dispute.
In the next round, therefore, Internazionale will visit Hellas Verona, at 4 pm (Brasília time) on Wednesday, at Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium, in Verona (ITA). At the same time, Lazio face Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA).
The goals from Internazionale and Lazio
Playing at home, Internazionale started at the top. In the 25th minute of the first half, D’Ambrosio stole the ball in the offensive field and found Joaquin Correa inside the area. The Argentine played to the middle of the area, where Mkhitaryan was, who sent the ball to the back of the net. However, with the help of VAR, the referee annulled the goal for an offside by the number 11.
Lazio’s response was swift. Just four minutes later, Felipe Anderson was the one who stole the ball in the attack and made it reach Luis Alberto, who returned it to the Brazilian. The number 7 dominated inside the area taking the marker and had peace of mind to stuff the net.
On the way back from the break, Internazionale kept pressing to seek the tie and did so in the 32nd minute. Lautaro Martínez received it from Lukaku inside the area and threw himself on the grass to manage to touch goalkeeper Provedel’s exit.
Five minutes later, the hosts got the comeback. Lukaku made a beautiful cross for Gosens to appear on the second post touching the back of the goal and scoring the second of the Milan team in the match.
Finally, already at 45 minutes of the second half, Inter put final numbers in the confrontation. Lautaro Martínez took advantage of Vecino’s mistake on the ball, came face to face with Provedel and tried to play over the top. The goalkeeper managed to save, but the ball returned to the Argentine, who played into the empty net.
