Dynamo did not rule out that in the future the hockey player Ovechkin will take part in a football match
The Dynamo estimated the chances of Alexander Ovechkin, the captain of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals club, to play in a football match. The words of a member of the board of directors of the Moscow team, Dmitry Gafin, are quoted by Sport-Express.
The team did not rule out that in the future the hockey player will again take part in a football match. “We plan to see him at the next game by the time he returns. Usually, when he arrives, he comes to our stadium. And then we will talk with him and figure out how we can be useful, ”said Dynamo.
On June 25, 2022, Ovechkin made his debut for Dynamo football in a friendly match against Amkal (5: 0). He entered the field in the starting lineup with the captain’s armband and opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game. After that, the hockey player was replaced.
Ovechkin is a graduate of the Moscow Dynamo hockey club. In 2005, he moved to Washington, where he won the Stanley Cup.
