The football player of the Russian national team Tyukavina was upset by the team’s refusal to participate in the CAFA tournament
Forward of the Moscow “Dynamo” and the Russian national football team Konstantin Tyukavin appreciated the refusal of the national team to participate in the tournament of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA). It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The forward admitted that he was upset by this decision. “They say that there is a high load on the players? If they say so, then it is so. Players don’t make decisions. It’s a shame. It’s a pity that we won’t play, ”Tyukavin said.
The refusal to participate in the CAFA international tournament became known on April 18. The Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Maxim Mitrofanov, said that the decision was made due to the excessive burden on the players.
The CAFA Championship with the participation of men’s national teams will be held from 9 to 21 June 2023 in Kyrgyzstan. It is expected that all six members of the association will play in the tournament: Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
