O Real Madrid secured on the afternoon of this Tuesday its classification to another semifinal of the Champions League. The merengue team defeated the Chelsea by 2-0, with two goals scored by Rodrygo, in London, and advanced to the next phase of the competition.
The Spanish team had already won the first leg, at the Santiago Bernabéu, by 2 to 0. Therefore, even with the 0 to 0 on the scoreboard, Real was already stamping its passage to the Champions League semifinals. The Brazilian Rodrygo, trained by Santosscored twice in the second half, which determined the classification.
Now, the team commanded by Carlo Ancelotti awaits the winner of Bayern Munchen x Manchester City to know your opponent in the next phase. The match is scheduled for this Wednesday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Allianz Arena.
This was the third consecutive time that Real Madrid and Chelsea have met in the knockout stages of the Champions League. On the two previous occasions, whoever got the better of the match was crowned champion at the end of the tournament. In the first, it was the English who passed, in the semifinals, while the Meringue team overcame the Blues during the quarterfinals of the last edition.
The Spaniards thus join the Milan, who left behind Napoli this Tuesday. This season’s Champions League final will be played on June 10 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

How was the game?
At the start of the match, Chelsea adopted a cautious stance and let Real have the initiative despite their advantage.
