In St. Petersburg starts casting for the right to open and complete the festive action.
The jury will select the best youth creative teams and performers of St. Petersburg. All of them will perform in a grandiose hours-long show on a par with Russian pop stars.
Creative groups (duets, trios, quartets, ensembles) and solo performers aged 16 to 35 can take part. You can apply until May 22.
Casting will be held from 5 to 8 June for all participants who applied on time. The jury will evaluate performances in the following categories: song; dance (jazz, modern, hip-hop, funk, locking, popping, improvisation); ; multi-genre concert number; presenter (performance (stand-up) on the topic “I am the host of the Scarlet Sails holiday”).
Based on the results of the casting, the winners will be selected, as well as a list of performers who will be recommended for participation in city events.
Last year, more than 900 people showed up to participate in the casting.
The authorities of St. Petersburg are planning to hold a holiday of graduates “Scarlet Sails” on June 24. This year, the Rossiya brig will enter the water area between the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Hermitage from Vasilyevsky Island.
Scarlet Sails is the largest alumni celebration in Russia. Hundreds of St. Petersburg schoolchildren see off their ship of childhood in the very heart of the city.
The musical program last year lasted until 03:00, and the holiday itself – until the morning.
