In the first match, held on 12 April, Real Madrid beat Chelsea 2-0. In the 21st minute of the game, striker Karim Benzema struck the opponents’ gate, and in the 70th minute Marco Asensio strengthened the advantage of the Madrid club. Thus, the Spanish club turned out to be stronger than the English one with a total score of 4:0.
Another semi-finalist of the tournament was Milan. The club proved to be stronger than Napoli, winning 1-0 in the first match and drawing 1-1 in the second.
The Champions League final of the 2022/2023 season will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. The game will take place on June 10. Russian clubs do not take part in European competitions in the 2022/2023 season according to the decision of the Union of European Football Associations.
