Garoa Martinez has been 8th in the European weightlifting championship played in Yerevan (Armenia). In the category of less than 64 kilos, the one from Bermeo has lifted 90 kilos in the ‘Arrancada’, has reached 112 kilos in the ‘Two times’, breaking the Spanish recordand has accumulated an ‘Olympic Total’ of 202 kilos.
The European Championship is the second of seven qualifying competitions that will count for the olympic ranking facing the Paris 2024 Games. The 2023 and 2024 continental championships, the 2022 and 2023 World Championships, the April 2024 World Cup and the 2023 Grand Prix I and II are scored.
