Spartak beat Torpedo in the match of the 23rd round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting ended with the score 2:1. Keita Balde was the first to score in the 18th minute. Then, in added time to the first half, Roman Zobnin strengthened the advantage of the red-whites by converting a penalty. This goal was the 1000th for Spartak for the entire time of performances in the RPL. The only goal of “Torpedo” was scored by Ilya Stefanovich.
For the first half of the match, two more penalty kicks were assigned to the gates of Torpedo. Litvinov and Balde failed in their efforts. The third penalty aroused the indignation of the black-and-white coach Pep Clotet. Chief referee Pavel Shadykhanov removed the specialist by showing him a direct red card, but he climbed over the fence and remained in the stands.
