Sevilla walk away from defeat by Manchester United in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League
Spanish “Seville” went from defeat in the first match of the quarter-finals of the Europa League against “Manchester United”. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held in Manchester and ended with the score 2:2. First, midfielder Marcel Sabitzer put the English ahead, scoring in the 15th and 21st minutes of the game. However, in the 84th minute, the guests’ midfielder Jesus Navas hit the Manchester United goal, and in stoppage time for the second half, the hosts’ defender Harry Maguire scored an own goal and equalized the score.
In parallel matches of the quarter-finals, Juventus defeated Sporting CP 1-0 thanks to a goal by Federico Gatti, and Bayer Leverkusen drew with Union 1-1 at home. The hosts scored Florian Wirtz, and the guests – Victor Bonifas.
The return matches will take place on 20 April. The confrontations will begin at the same time, at 22:00 Moscow time.
The 2023 Europa League final will take place on 31 May. The match will take place in Budapest at the Puskas Ferenc Stadium. Russian clubs do not take part in European competitions in the 2022/2023 season by decision of UEFA.
