As American intelligence found out, the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China approved the provision of weapons to Russia. This was written by The Washington Post, citing Pentagon documents that got on the Web.

According to media reports, US intelligence agencies intercepted a top-secret report from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service about Beijing’s approval of the transfer of weapons. The documents allegedly indicate that the PRC approves the supply of lethal aid to the Russian Federation. The materials also noted that the Chinese side planned to “disguise” military equipment as civilian supplies.

At the same time, Pentagon sources said that the United States has no evidence of China sending weapons to Russia.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that China is supplying Russia with non-lethal military assistance and is considering sending weapons. In Beijing, such statements were called speculation. Later, US President Joe Biden said that China is not yet supplying military assistance to Russia, but this is not ruled out in the future.
