Rashford has confirmed injury and will be absent at United against Sevilla in the Europa League

Striker Marcus Rashford will be missing from Manchester United until the final weeks of the current season. The player had a muscle injury found and for the time being will not be available to coach Erik ten Hag.

The club’s next commitment is against Sevilla, at home, for the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals. The match is scheduled for this Thursday at 4 pm (Brasília time).

Rahsford had to be substituted in the win over Everton, English Championship, last Saturday, and went straight to the locker room to start treatment. At the time, the athlete was replaced by the Danish Christian Eriksen.

The striker’s absence prevents him from continuing his best performance in a season. Rashford has scored 28 United goals in all competitions.

After the triumph in English, Ten Hag commented on the athlete’s injury and complained about the calendar.

“It’s due to the schedule. It can’t be that you play three games in six days and we have to protect the players. Everyone wants to see the best players on the field. Everyone wants to see fun football and you need your best players”, he said.
