The decision to hold the parade on Victory Day on May 9 is made by the military and it has not yet been made, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said in his Telegram channel.
According to him, on the eve of the authorities of Sevastopol, together with the administration of Crimea, held a meeting of the operational headquarters with all law enforcement agencies and the Black Sea Fleet. “We discussed the celebrations for the Victory Day. The decision to cancel the military parade for May 9 in Sevastopol has not been made at the moment, ”the governor emphasized, adding that the decision to hold the parade in Sevastopol should be made by the military and consultations with the Ministry of Defense are still ongoing.
Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that the authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol made a joint decision to cancel parades, processions of the Immortal Regiment and demonstrations on May 1. After some time, Aksyonov published another post, in which he clarified that this decision concerns only the Republic of Crimea.
Recall that the decision not to hold military parades on May 9 for security reasons has already been taken by the authorities of Belgorod and Kursk.
