RMC Sport: PSG coach Christophe Galtier accused of racism while managing Nice
French PSG head coach Christophe Galtier was accused of racist remarks when the specialist was in charge of Nice. It is reported by RMC Sport.
According to the source, Galtier sent an email to the former director of Nice, Julien Fournier, in which he pointed out the inadmissibility of having a large number of blacks and Muslims in the team. Allegedly, the fans complained to the coach about the composition. “Our team does not reflect what people want, just as it does not reflect me,” Fournier wrote the coach.
On April 4, L’Equipe reported that Galtier was in danger of being fired. The specialist was allegedly given two matches to correct the situation in Ligue 1.
Galtier took over the team on July 5, 2022. After 30 rounds, PSG under his leadership is in first place in the standings, with 69 points in the asset. The team flew out of the current Champions League draw, losing in the 1/8 finals of the tournament to Bayern Munich.
