The technician of Real MadridCarlo Ancelotti, highlighted this Tuesday “the special human quality” of midfielder Fede Valverde, who said he was ready to play this Wednesday against Chelsea for the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
“I saw Valverde well yesterday and today he is motivated like the rest, he trained well,” said Ancelotti at the press conference before the game against the English team.
“We know him very well, he has a special, extraordinary human quality. I don’t want to comment on what happened, but I am sure that tomorrow he will give everything, as always”, he added.

Ancelotti spoke of his player this way when asked about Valverde’s incident with Villarreal left winger Álex Baena, whom the Uruguayan punched after the league match between the two teams on Saturday.
The Villarreal player denounced Valverde, who would have reacted this way due to some offensive words from Baena to a son of the Uruguayan after his wife’s pregnancy problems.
“Valverde is doing very well and has our full support,” said Real Madrid’s Austrian defender David Alaba.
“He’s been training well, he’s ready and focused on tomorrow’s game, but I can’t say anything about what happened,” said the Real Madrid player.
